Yoga modern times can rightly be designated as the technique of holistic living-man understanding himself to be, not a part, but the whole of Thrust, Existence, Knowledge and Bliss.

With the world going fast behind technical jobs that demand them to work long hours sitting in front of computer jobs and eating junk foods at odd hours, the need for exercising is at its all time peak!  The lifestyle and our work style that the so called scientific advancements has led is into is seemingly taking us the wrong path as far as our health is concerned.
With this background in mind, it becomes necessary for everybody to involve themselves in some kind of sports fitness program to keep them hale and healthy.  When we say sports fitness program, it could be anything for simple walking to regular, strenuous exercising in a proper fitness centre or gym.  There are different types of sport fitness programs to suit the different requirements of the individuals. The public can choose and pick what works best for them.

Sport fitness programs can be grouped and classified according to the time frames.  There could be quarterly, half yearly or annual.  If the public is looking at weight loss or shaping and toning their body, then they can give it a try accordingly.  For people who have never exercised and are wanting to see how they feel when they regularly exercise, it should be a good idea for them to try the quarterly package – there are monthly packages available, but it is better they go for at least a quarter to gauge the difference the exercise has made to their bodies.  The individual can note the changes and difference in his own measurements remarkably in a short span of three months.  A monthly package might not be that effective to read these results accurately.

Annual fitness programs can be chosen by youngsters who is either studying or are working and they can use this to tone their bodies and make them really shapely.  The advantage with the annual package is that it is way too cheap when compared with the short term packages.  In addition to these, men and women can also choose the particular exercises to either lose weight or to make them physically and mentally fit.

From puberty to marriage, even during childbirth the woman goes through a lot of hormonal changes all through this cycle and it becomes very important to keep her fit and healthy.  There are a lot of fitness programs that have been designed specifically for women and go all out to the betterment of women.  The best thing that women can do is to enroll them in fitness programs specially designed for them.  The mistake they do is that amidst the household chores and attending to the various requirements of the various members at home, the priorities are varied and they have hardly any time to spare for themselves.

Women need to break this and come out of their enclosures to concentrate on their health and well being.
When we talk of women, those in the menopausal age need a special mention – Weight gain, feeling stressed out and irritated and feeling hunger pangs could all be symptoms of menopause.  Women at menopause put on weight more on their stomach region than anywhere else.  Since the hormones stop functioning absorption of insulin in the blood could also become a problem and women who face this can get this treated by having foods rich in carbohydrates and proteins.  Women might also find them becoming susceptible to fragile bones and in some cases even osteoporosis.  Another point that needs to be noted here is that they could face problems of lower metabolism rate – whereby the body converts all the food it has access into fat.

The high nourishment is obtained from staple amaranth grain. There are three species; they are Amaranth, A.hypochondriacus and A.caudatus. It is dark pink color flower. It grows up to 6 ft in height, and grows in summer to fall. Its seeds are eaten as cereals. They are usually black in wild plant, and they appear white in domestic form. They are smashed to flour and used in various cooking recipes. They are popped as popcorn, and they can be cooked as porridge, which is considered to very healthy food. The leaves can also be utilized as spinach, and seeds are soaked in water to make nutritious sprouts.

A.cruentus does not come under staple food; however it is grown and sold as healthy food. Sheep sorrel possess vitamins like beta carotene, tartaric acid, oxalates, anthraquinones, Glycosides. This species is widely used to cure disease like inflammation, cancer, scurvy and fever. It is used as basic ingredient in preparation commonly called by the name Essiac.

With fashion on its gear all people want to look like tinsel stars. They want to get almost immediately though they don’t think of all these things when they see the food on their table. Only after they eat they realize that they shouldn’t have eaten. Let us now see some common routines to be followed in daily life to lose weight. Brisk walking for about 45 minutes or slow jogging for about 30 minutes followed by pranayama would be a better solution for losing weight. The above must be made a routine. With out any laziness the above should be followed every morning.
A small walk after having food is always necessary. Never sleep immediately after food that too at night. Just by doing some shopping or some purchasing after dinner. Automatically you will be in your feet. Abdominal crunches should help burn all your fat and calories settled in your waist. Push ups too may help you in the above.
It is always recommended not to resort to short cuts to lose weight. Housewives can always reserve some of their home chores after dinner so that you could avoid obesity. Cycling and playing badminton in the morning till you sweat profusely may even help ladies turn very slim with absolutely flat waist. Youngsters may go to gyms to reduce their weight almost immediately. But being regular is important. Never remain without exercising. Get properly trained with the exercises.
