Sports equipments which make your body fit

Monday, January 12th, 2009

When we look at the pattern of the human race, we tend to play around a lot ignoring the hot sun or the wet rains when we are in our school days, but as we grow older, we get in the whirl of mundane things and hardly have any time to exercise or indulge in sports. There are few people who continue to sport during juggling time for work and then fewer who continue to play their favorite sport as a hobby after retirement.  This clearly talks of why we start gaining weight over our mid years and continue all through.
Given this scenario it becomes very important that we indulge in some kind of sports to keep our bodies physically active and engaged.  With the advent of Information Technology, most of the younger generation is just working sitting for close to ten to twelve hours before the computer.  Even after they come home, they are spending time doing the same and the body has no other activity at all.  All this leads to the enormous weight gain that they then experience.

Treadmills that are available in various modes like electric or manual is a good option to try out by individuals who are looking to keep their body fit.  The advantages with the treadmill is that we can choose to run or walk at our speed and continue to increase the speed as we feel our body getting used to the extra pressure that we are giving it.  For example, on the first day of our exercise on the treadmill, we might start off with the basic speed, but in about two to three weeks, we can see a marked change in our speed.  Another advantage is that we can buy a treadmill at home and use it at our convenience.

There are other sports equipments as well that can be used to either tighten muscles or to burn fat.  The equipments should be chosen based on the requirement of the individual.  There are many sports equipments that we can use to do simple exercises to strengthen the muscles in various parts of the body.

The different sports fitness program!!

With the world going fast behind technical jobs that demand them to work long hours sitting in front of computer jobs and eating junk foods at odd hours, the need for exercising is at its all time peak!  The lifestyle and our work style that the so called scientific advancements has led is into is seemingly taking us the wrong path as far as our health is concerned.
With this background in mind, it becomes necessary for everybody to involve themselves in some kind of sports fitness program to keep them hale and healthy.  When we say sports fitness program, it could be anything for simple walking to regular, strenuous exercising in a proper fitness centre or gym.  There are different types of sport fitness programs to suit the different requirements of the individuals. The public can choose and pick what works best for them.

Sport fitness programs can be grouped and classified according to the time frames.  There could be quarterly, half yearly or annual.  If the public is looking at weight loss or shaping and toning their body, then they can give it a try accordingly.  For people who have never exercised and are wanting to see how they feel when they regularly exercise, it should be a good idea for them to try the quarterly package – there are monthly packages available, but it is better they go for at least a quarter to gauge the difference the exercise has made to their bodies.  The individual can note the changes and difference in his own measurements remarkably in a short span of three months.  A monthly package might not be that effective to read these results accurately.

Annual fitness programs can be chosen by youngsters who is either studying or are working and they can use this to tone their bodies and make them really shapely.  The advantage with the annual package is that it is way too cheap when compared with the short term packages.  In addition to these, men and women can also choose the particular exercises to either lose weight or to make them physically and mentally fit.

How could sports contribute to fitness??

Sports and fitness go hand in hand.  They are integral in keeping the body fit and healthy and the mind active.  We see a lot of sportspersons today who don’t look their age thanks to the continual strenuous exercise that they go through.  Without sports, individuals tend to lack shape with age and continue to get into the distressed categories of being overweight or obese.
sports and fitness It is an interesting question when we have to deal with how sports can contribute to fitness.  The simple answer is the continual physical activities that keeps the muscles active and thus increase the ability to tighten them.  Once the muscles get tightened, they automatically stop losing their ability to form flab and that itself tightens the body – the body becomes a little taut and firm and that goes a long way in improving the shape of the body.

Another problem is that with aging, most of our physical activity takes a backseat.  Personally we’ve seen individuals who have all the while been climbing stairs start looking were the lifts are.  Even small kinds of physical activity become so much lacking and this starts off the process of the body gaining weight.  Old people cannot control diet much as they might already be patients and foregoing lot of food items. Asking them to cut the very little that they eat could prove detrimental to their bodies.

What they can do instead is to indulge in simple sports that do not require running around much.  The simple focus for such people should be on keeping the body active.  This will also help increase the muscle tissue in our bodies.  The muscle tissue is the only part of the body where metabolism can happen. If metabolism does not happen, then the entire chunk of food that we consume is changed to fat.  With sports there is a marked increase in out muscle tissue and this converts to more metabolism.  So, when the body is able to burn more of the food that we eat, there is a very little chance of our bodies putting on weight!

Sports and fitness

Mankind today is in a pitiable state – We don’t care what we eat and we don’t dare look at ourselves in the mirror.  We are no longer fit, healthy or smart.  What is the reason for this?  A changed lifestyle, eating junk foods, sitting in front of the computer for more hours than that is good for our body? It’s tough to find one villain amongst so many, but each and every mentioned point here has done as much as it could to get us to this stage. We don’t have much time on our hands now and it is high time we change – for the better and concentrate on our health and fitness.
sports and fitnessWhether we propose to go to the fitness gyms or to set up home fitness centers – the bottom-line is we need to do all we can to get out of the shamble we are in today and get to a fit personality.  Sports and fitness go hand in hand.  An athlete or any other sportsperson for that matter stays fit all through simply because of the continuous and rigorous practice that he undergoes.  This can be taken as a clue and if the fitness work outs are followed religiously getting fit is going to be child’s play.
While the body involves in some sporting activity why there is a weight loss or even no gain in current weight is because of the metabolism rate.  The body has the ability to burn calories faster and whatever is consumed is metabolized and digested and sent away to the digestive system for excretion.  This there is no conversion of food into fat and storing in our body.  The body simply can’t afford to store anything as the equation between the consumption of food and physical activity is always tilted towards the latter.  This is why we see aged sportspersons putting on a lot of weight.  The body that has under gone strenuous fitness exercises becomes lethargic and lazy and starts bloating when there is lack of it.
Involving ourselves in sports also tightens our muscles, thereby giving us a taut and fit structure unlike our usual selves!
